Revd Ernesto Lozada-Uzuriaga

We are announcing that Revd Ernesto Lozada-Uzuriaga will be stepping down from his post in October 2025. After serving his curacy in Henley-on-Thames, Ernesto came to Milton Keynes in 2006 and has served the Church of Christ the Cornerstone for over nineteen years. His last day will be Sunday, 19 October 2025, which will be followed by a period of preparation before he and his wife move to Wales in 2026.

Ernesto has served Christ the Cornerstone and the wider city of Milton Keynes for nearly two decades. His reflective spirituality and creative gifts have brought a distinctive flavour to the life of the church in the city, for which he deserves our heartfelt thanks. The city has undergone remarkable changes during his time here and – as we prepare for a new season in the life of Cornerstone – we pray for Ernesto and Marie as they begin the next chapter of their lives in Wales.’

A personal message from Revd Ernesto Lozada-Uzuriaga

Dear Living Stones,

After nearly two decades of ministry – of Word and Sacrament – at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone, the time has come for a new chapter in our lives. We are deeply grateful for the journey we have shared with you. Walking alongside you all these years has been a profound blessing, one that will remain with us always.

We hope you will join us on Sunday, 19 October 2025, for our final service together. It would mean a great deal to see you there as we give thanks and say farewell.

With love and gratitude,
Ernesto & Marie

Gracious God,
Thank you for the journey we have shared,
for the love that has grown among us,
and for the grace that has sustained us.
As we step into new paths,
may your Spirit guide our steps,
bind us in peace, and keep our hearts

open to your unfolding call.
Amen.

May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be always at your back.
May the love we have known continue to grow,
and may Christ, the Cornerstone,
remain the foundation of all we build.
Go in peace, and may God’s blessing be upon you –
now and always.
Amen
