Prayer of the Week 13 September 2020

We come to your house, Lord, to join our sisters and brothers in your praise.
So many people in this world are prevented from worshipping you
or reaching their true potential, by different challenges.
Some are oppressed while others lack confidence in their own abilities.
Use us, Lord, to reach out to them and lift them.
Show them that you love and value them for who they are, not what they have.
You were able to use ordinary people like fishermen and bring out the best in them
in order to spread your word of love, peace, joy and justice.
Be close, now, to those on the margins and wrap them in your arms we pray.

Amen

The prayer of the week for the online service, led by Revd. Ernesto Lozada-Uzuriaga is:

Make us one, O God,
in acknowledging Jesus the Christ.
As we proclaim him by our words,
let us follow him in our works;
give us strength to take up the cross
and courage to lose our lives for his sake.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
One God now and for ever.

Amen.
