Evening Prayers Monday, 20 April 2020
Let us pray.
Please, may we have a peaceful night.
Amen
Our thoughts and prayers are made in Jesus’ name.
[Reflection on the day]
Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.
Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5: 6, 7
Please, protect everyone; for those who confront and contend with the challenging Covid-19 and the onslaught of pandemic your angels protect.
May God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and give you peace.
In order to set us free from this present evil age, Christ gave himself for our sins, in obedience to the will of our God and Father.
To God be the Glory for ever and ever Amen.
From Paul’s Letter to the Galatians
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen
Thank you, Lord, for keeping us in your care this day, and protect us all, we pray.
Amen
