Risen Lord, on this glorious morning, we stand in awe like those first witnesses at the empty tomb.
Just as the women discovered the stone rolled away,
roll away the stones of doubt and fear from our hearts.
Let the truth of your Resurrection power our lives with purpose and hope.
We rejoice that in you, we too shall be made alive.
For you reign until all enemies are under your feet, and death itself is destroyed.
Hallelujah! Amen

Wonderful God, thank you that you meet us right here
where we are sitting in the ordinary stuff and activities of this day.
As we journey through Holy Week, may we recognise you in Christ Jesus,
be empowered to live like him to live into the preciousness
of the life that you sustain in us.
Amen

Loving God, who makes paths through mighty waters, and brings forth springs in the desert places:
grant us hearts like Mary’s, lavish in devotion and unafraid of criticism,
that we may pour out our very best in worship of your Son,
not just this Lenten and Easter season, but throughout our discipleship lives
to the glory of your name, the growth of your kingdom and to the welfare of your Church
for we ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen

Loving God, like Moses` mother and Mary, who placed their complete faith in you,
trusting in your providence, we too place our deepest hopes and fears in your hands.
When we feel powerless in the face of circumstances beyond our control,
remind us that you see us, just as you saw that humble basket among the reeds.
Like Mary, we stand before you with hearts both hopeful and anxious.
Give us, we pray, the faith to trust you in times of uncertainty,
knowing that you hold all our lives in your careful keeping.
Amen

Creator God, as we gather today, we know we have often failed to choose well.
Be with us, as we hear again the stories of your limitless love and measureless grace.
Amen

Gracious God, as we gather in your presence this day
remind us that you are the One who has brought us this far,
who shelters us under the shadow of your wings, who calls us to dwell in your house for ever.
Open our eyes to see your light, open our hearts to receive your love,
open our lives to follow your way, even when that path leads through difficulty.
Like Jesus, who set his face toward Jerusalem despite the dangers that awaited him,
make us faithful to your calling.
Amen

Loving God, as we begin this new week, we seek shelter in your presence,
just as the psalmist found refuge under your wings.
You are our fortress and our God, in whom we place our complete trust.
Like Jesus in the wilderness, we face times of testing in our daily lives.
When we encounter temptations to doubt your goodness, to seek power on our own terms,
or to test your faithfulness, grant us the wisdom and strength that your Son showed.
Help us to stand firm in your Word,
knowing that you alone are our true sustenance in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
