CATERING ASSISTANT REQUIRED

16 hours per week

The role of a catering assistant is to assist the catering coordinator in maintaining kitchen and café standards. You will also be responsible for hygiene and cleanliness within the cafe. You will also take over the catering coordinators duties to cover holiday and sickness. Catering assistants are also responsible for carrying out food preparation tasks, such as washing and preparing food for the day, as well as operate machinery.

The ideal Catering Assistant candidates will:

• Have previous experience working in a catering environment.
• Level 2 food hygiene certificate.
• Be attentive and proactive with the ability to respond quickly to needs of the customers.
• Be organised and keep calm under pressure.
• Be able to operate as part of a team, working alongside and help support volunteers.
• Have a knowledge of allergens.
• Be available to help with events as required.
