Daily Prayers Tuesday, 9 November 2021

Our father and our God – as we begin our day, we ask that today, you will help us to  choose to walk every step with you.  Help us to look at ourselves, our loved ones, friends and our world through your eyes.  Help us to carry out our work, study and interactions with everyone as Christ would.  Today, help us to be Christ to one another and to the world. Is there someone who would appreciate a touch on the shoulder because it says to them – you matter?   Maybe a phone call or text – ‘I am thinking of you’.  Lord help me be the difference I want to see.

We have so much to be grateful for – like the opportunity to praise you again today.  The ability to make a difference to others – maybe through word or deed.  To make a contribution maybe just by being a positive influence to those we’re with.  Maybe, all we can do is to pray for others.   But help me Lord, to do whatever I can do.

We thank you for our community at Cornerstone.  For the ability to share our joys as well as our sorrows.  In that respect, hear us as we bring before you those who are in pain physically or otherwise.  Those who are suffering loneliness or other kinds of hardships.  Be near to them, be their strength and help them see your love with eyes of faith.

We pray for our world especially as the leaders of our world are meeting to discuss and agree ways of caring for the gift of mother earth that you entrusted to us.  Grant our leaders your wisdom.  And show us how we can play our part in being good stewards of your world.

We pray today as always, that we will be your representative in all we do and say.
