God of all, we come to offer you the best of ourselves:
To take hold of mercy and to let go of fear.
To take hold of generosity and to let go of resentment;
To take hold of forgiveness and to let go of sin.
To take hold of forgiveness and to let go of sin:
To take hold of gratitude and to let go of grudge.
To take hold of all your very self, in Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Amen

Gracious God, we give you thanks for all the ways your Son draws us together in community.
We pray for those unable to worship alongside those they love:
for churches in turmoil and for all places where relationships are breaking.
And we ask your blessing on ourselves, on one another,
and on all who call upon you today in Jesus’ name.
Amen

Let us meet Jesus; in him we see God.
Let us seek his presence as a friend.
Let us follow him for his way is life and truth.
He will bring us where we need to be to do God’s work and be God’s people.
Amen

Lord Jesus Christ, Messiah, name above all names,
we worship and adore you for revealing yourself to us,
becoming one of us and calling each of us by name.
In you, we discover who we truly are, for you lead us to become the people you mean us to be,
one with you and with one another in your Church.
Amen

Gracious God, your tender, kind, compassionate love hugs the whole of your creation.
May we let that love heals us and, unblocked, within us, flow out to all we meet.
Amen

Blessed are you, creator God of the universe, you come to us in our need.
You comfort us in our fear and rescue us when we are sinking.
We offer you the praise of our thankful hearts.
Here in this holy place we see Jesus and he calls us to come.
He calls us to follow him out of this safe place and into the difficult waters of life.
We need have no fear, as he takes our hand, lifts us up and saves us.
However small our faith we need not doubt, for he truly is the Son of God
and we come to worship him.
Amen

Almighty God,
Your Son Jesus Christ fed the hungry with the bread of his Life
and the Word of his Kingdom.
Renew your people with your heavenly grace,
and in all our struggle and weakness sustain us by the true and living bread, Jesus our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen

Divine Creator, you are the one who plants seeds, casts out fishing nets,
bakes bread, and searches for precious pearls.
Transform us into living parables, so that we may become imaginative and life-affirming stewards
of the world that you have entrusted to our thoughtful and compassionate care.
Amen

Loving and Living God, you let your sun rise on both the bad and the good.
Change our hearts and minds, so that we may learn to accept others with love,
as you have accepted us.
We pray that your Holy Spirit will grant our communities a sense of unity,
mutual respect and love as you have for us.
Amen

God, you are the mighty sower, the good gardener, life-giving, constant in creation.
Christ, you are the face of the Father, casting wisdom across the ages,
your arm outstretched to sow.
Holy Spirit, you are the wind that carries the seed and causes the fruit to flourish.
Trinity of creation and salvation, we worship and adore you.
Amen

Jesus, you call us to accept your yoke that is easy, and your burden that is light.
Show us your ways and keep us from burdening ourselves or others with things that are not from you.
Amen

Your affection for your disciples, Lord, shines out of your care expressed in this title, ‘little ones’,
which you gave to them. You were aware they were going out as lambs among wolves,
you knew they would need help and support, given through a generous, warm and comforting welcome.
You ask us, Lord, to continue to be open to receiving your little ones,
those who continue to be faithful to the work required by being faithful to your command
to go tell everyone your good news. Abide with us, merciful God. in Jesus’ name.

Loving God, as we come before you today yearning to learn the mystery of the Lord’s supper,
we pray that you will be with us by your spirit.
Open our minds by the power of your Holy Spirit
that we might get a glimpse of your great love for us
and the huge sacrifice you made on the cross through your son.
May we feel your presence and be filled with your grace today and always.
Amen

Restless God, we know that you never rest in your love and concern for all of creation.
We know that you ceaselessly search us out,
calling us to be here together in prayer and song and word.
We know that you do not rest until justice rains down on the earth and until mercy flows like a river.
We are your people, your community, your family.
Today we open ourselves to your restless Spirit,
God of all creation we live in expectation of your work in our lives.

Merciful God who welcomes us all,
no matter who we are,
no matter where we are from,
no matter what we have done,
no matter what our successes or failures in life so far have been,
we gather together before you, as your children, knowing we are welcome.
Amen
