Faithful God, who’s loving purposes are often hidden yet never fail, grant us the courage of Jochebed,
the compassion of Pharaoh’s daughter, and the steadfast heart of Mary.
When we must release what we cherish, teach us to trust you.
When love leads us through sorrow, hold us in hope.
And in all our living, make us instruments of your protecting grace;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen

Life giving God, who calls us to listen and invites us to drink deeply of your grace,
go with us into this new week. When we grow weary, refresh us. When we grow stubborn, soften us.
When we encounter strangers, make us bold in love.
Let the living water of Christ flow through our words and actions,
so that our homes, workplaces, and communities may glimpse your truth and mercy.
We ask this in the name of the Christ who is the Living waters
Amen

Holy and guiding God, you called Abram to step out in faith, and you call us to trust your promises.
Give us courage to follow where you lead, eyes to see your presence on the journey,
and hearts open to the new birth you offer in Christ.
Shape us by your Spirit, that we may live as signs of your love in the world,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

God of the hungry times, God of the difficult times, God of all the times of our lives,
sometimes it’s difficult to understand the direction we need to go with all the choices we have.
So we ask for your guidance. We ask for wisdom; we ask for Spirit:
in our worship, in our work, in our choices, in our lives.
May it be so, loving God!
Amen

Transfiguring God, who revealed the glory of Christ on the mountain:
grant us courage to listen to your beloved Son, strength to follow where he leads, and hearts
open to transformation.
When we walk through ordinary days, help us carry the light we have seen.
When we face fear or uncertainty, remind us of your presence.
Shape us this week into people who reflect your love, through Jesus Christ our conquering Lord
Amen

Loving God, who commanded us to love our neighbour as ourselves,
grant us the courage to love without boundaries, the wisdom to see your image in every person,
and the strength to challenge all that divides your children.
Break down in us the walls of fear and prejudice, that we might truly be salt and light in the world,
sharing our bread with the hungry, welcoming the stranger,
and spending ourselves on behalf of the oppressed.
May our light break forth like the dawn, revealing your justice, mercy, and inclusive love,
that all might know they are precious in your sight.
Amen
