Footprints Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there; if I make my bed in the depths you are there. even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Psalm 139: 7, 8,10 NIV® Many...

Good morning, good Cornerstone friends. Are you ready for a new day? Behold how good and pleasant it is to dwell together in unity. Music to End the Day Sunday, 13 September 2020

In the Lutheran Church, it is common practice for each hymn to be introduced, not by a simple ‘player’ of the tune, but by a fully developed ‘chorale prelude’, either composed or improvised. J.S. Bach wrote hundreds of magnificent chorale preludes, covering every Sunday of the Church’s year and a wide range of liturgical themes. ‘Wenn...

Prayer of the Week 13 September 2020

We come to your house, Lord, to join our sisters and brothers in your praise.
So many people in this world are prevented from worshipping you
or reaching their true potential, by different challenges.
Some are oppressed while others lack confidence in their own abilities.
Use us, Lord, to reach out to them and lift them.
Show them that you love and value them for who they are, not what they have.
You were able to use ordinary people like fishermen and bring out the best in them
in order to spread your word of love, peace, joy and justice.
Be close, now to those on the margins and wrap them in your arms we pray.
Amen

Sermon by Revd George Mwaura If you think church conflict is something new, then you haven’t been in church long enough. Prayer of the Week 6 September 2020

Almighty God, we tremble as we think of who we are and who you are.
Bring us now, in this moment, to know you.
See us as we are, and see our yearning to be more like you.
May we lay aside anything that hinders our journey with you,
and with our friends and neighbours and we ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen
