Prayer of the Week 6 June 2021
God of all the world, we praise you for calling us into your family, for choosing us even though we are imperfect, for trusting us even though we make mistakes, for not giving up on us even when we give up on ourselves, for offering so much more – even when we would settle for less....

It’s Sunday afternoon and the beautiful sunshine is streaming through the window. What a joy to see the beauty of God’s world on a day like today! And so, we...

A reading from Peter’s first letter 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do...

Your Words Reveal Your Heart ‘… Your speech betrays you.’ Matthew 26: 73 NKJV The words you speak will give you away every time. It happened to Peter. On the night Jesus was arrested and all his disciples scattered, Peter stayed close enough to see what was happening-but not close enough to be identified with him....

Music to End Trinity Sunday, 30 May 2021
Dear Friends, On this Trinity Sunday, we begin with an improvisation on the wonderful Irish tune ‘St Patrick’ commonly used for the hymn ‘I bind into myself today the strong name of the Trinity’ (St Patrick’s Breastplate). The melody appears in the ‘Petrie Collection’ of Irish music, edited by Stanford in 1903. Now we will hear St Patrick’s Prayer,...

Prayer of the Week 30 May 2021
Wonderful God, as we gaze at the miracle of your world, intricate and interconnected,
huge in scope, microscopic in detail, we are amazed.
We wonder that you love each one of us, seeing us, knowing us
and filling us with the breath of life.
You hold us in being moment by moment.
Help us to worship you as mystery, to hug you as friend,
and with you, to care for the whole of creation.
Amen

Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes. Remember not against us our former sins; let...
