Prayer of the Week 12 September 2021

Loving God, your name is veiled in mystery, yet we dare to call you Father;
your Son was begotten before all ages, yet was born among us in time.
Your Holy Spirit fills the whole creation, yet is poured forth now into our hearts.
Because you have made us and loved us and called us by name,
draw us more deeply into your divine life, that we may glorify you rightly,
through your Son and our Lord.
Amen

Good morning to you all, God’s people, as this Friday morning brightens away from the sleepy darkness of restful night. Let us praise God together in this new day’s light. Prayer of the Week 5 September 2021

Creator God, you spoke into the silence and darkness, blowing clean life-giving air into space, warmth and life engulfed your creation. Solid ground formed out of gushing water and life appeared. You lovingly created the world and us. Now you look with sadness at the mess we have made of your creation and our desperate attempts...

Prayer of the Week 29 August 2021

Loving God, may we be as those who abide with you;
those who walk blamelessly and do what is right;
those who speak truth from their heart, who do not slander with their tongue
and do no evil to their friends.
Then shall we never be moved from your presence.
Amen

Prayer of the Week 22 August 2021

God of the unknown journey, you call us to follow you,
even though we do not know where you might lead us.
You do not provide us a map, but you do offer yourself as guide and travelling companion.
You do not promise an easy path, blue skies, warm sun and pleasant company.
You simply asked us to follow you.
But you provide the nourishment and strength we need for the journey
and for that, Lord, we honour and glorify your name.
Amen
