Good morning, friends. I hope you are all well

I thought I will start our prayers today by sharing this interesting interpretation of Psalm 23, as our reflection point this morning…

PSALM 23

The Lord is my shepherd,
        That’s relationship!

I shall not be in wan
That’s Provision!

He makes me lie down in green pastures
That’s Rest!

He leads me beside quiet waters,
That’s Refreshment!

He restores my soul.
That’s healing!

He guides me in the paths of righteousness
That’s Guidance!

For his name sake
That’s Purpose!

Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
That’s Testing!

I will fear no evil,
That’s Protection!

For you are with me;
That’s faithfulness!

Your rod and your staff, They comfort me,
        That’s Discipline!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
        That’s Hope!

You anoint my head with oil;
        That’s Consecration!

My cup overflows.
        That’s Abundance!

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
        That’s Blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
        That’s security!

For ever.
        That’s Eternity!

God, we come before you, today to ask for a flourishing and thriving community where we learn to love each other and come to know God as our anchor and daily guide.

We pray that we can be good stewards of your love to each one of our neighbours. We ask that you help us to learn from our community and assist us to make it a place of solace, peace and a sanctuary where all are welcomed.

Dear Lord as we begin this brand new day shower our paths with blessings as you always do and give us the wisdom to recognise these blessing and be thankful.

Amen.
