Prayers for the Day, Monday

Good morning to our Heavenly Father for protecting us throughout the night Thanks for blessing us with the breath of life.

Living Stones and Cornerstone friends let us come together to share a few moments in prayer; as we experience turbulent times

Isaiah 43: 1-7 taken from the Good News Bible God Promises to Rescue His People

1 Israel, the Lord who created you says, “Do not be afraid-I will save you.
I have called you by name you are mine.”

2 When you pass through deep waters,
I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you When you pass through the fire, you will not be burnt; The complex trials that come will not hurt you.

3 For I am the Lord your God,
The holy God of Israel, who saves you. I will give up Egypt to set you free;
I will give up Sudan and Seba.

4 I will give up the whole nation to save your life Because you are precious to me
And because I love you I give you honour

5 Do not be afraid I am with you! “From the east and the farthest west I will bring your people home”

6 I will tell the North to let them go And the south not to hold back.
Let my people return from distant lands, From every part of the world.

7 They are my people
I created them to bring me glory

Let us reflect upon the distressing event at present, not to be consumed by the events, but to use it for good, let us be a fruitful vine.

We pray for :

People who are displaced from their homes
People in authority who take unfair advantage of those who depend upon them
Those who are being persecuted by people in authority
Those seeking shelter from harm
The many people going hungry at present
Peace among all nations

GALATIANS 6: 1-5

1 My brother, if someone is caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him right; but you must do it gently. Keep an eye on yourselves, so that you will not be tempted, to act in the same manner

2 Help to carry one another’s burdens, and in this way, you will obey the law of Christ.

3 If someone thinks he is somebody when he is nobody, he is only deceiving himself.

4 Each one should judge his conduct. If it is good, then he should be proud of his achievements, without having to compare them with what someone else has done.

5 Everyone is responsible for his actions.

Lord, we feel the pain of the world, the plight of the needy; we thank You for those who have come forward to help the needy, into your mighty arms, we place their need.

We thank you, Lord, that you understand our worries and fears, we place them confidently in your loving hands

Let us recite with deep devotion ‘the Our Father’ that powerful prayer, in our language or dialect, or any manner that moves you to connect with God.

Have a blessed day, God be with you.
